Iowa City is the home of the University of Iowa, with a student body of approximately 31,000. The Iowa City Municipal Airport is located two miles southwest of Downtown Iowa City in Johnson County and in close proximity to Interstates 80 and 380, as well as U.S. Iowa City Water Distribution crews will also be flushing hydrants on and around the Regency Heights apartments, Hummingbird Lane, Edgewood Circle, Elgin Drive, Mary Court, Charles Drive, Kenneth Drive, Camden Road, Ashford Place, York Place, Notting Hill Lane, Chadwick Lane, and Huntington Drive north of Court Street. Iowa City Water Distribution crews will be flushing hydrants on and around Potomac Drive, Hillside Drive, Buena Drive, Mayfield Road, Arbor Hill Circle, Glenn Drive, Linden Court, Sweet Briar Avenue, Stanford Avenue, Ravencrest Drive, and Scott Court. The Landfill will also close at noon July 28 due to bicycle traffic. Many roads will be closed, including Riverside Drive at Iowa Avenue. Tens of thousands of cyclists will enter far western Iowa City on July 28, and leave Coralville by cycling through the heart of from about 6 to 10 a.m. RAGBRAI will have far-ranging impacts on Iowa City Friday, July 28, and especially Saturday, July 29, 2023.
